Our Consulate General Office received a donation of half a million masks for Ethiopia’s COVID-19 prevention.

Ambassador Berded Animut, Acting Consul General of the Consulate General Office together with Mrs. Ubah Mohammed, Head of Business Diplomacy Affairs Department attended the ceremony. During the occasion, the Acting Consul General as well as Mrs. Ubah gave brief explanations on the momentous reforms undergoing in the country. Moreover, Ambassador Bereded, on behalf of the Consulate General Office, handed over a Certificate of Appreciation to the University for taking its part in the country’s fight against COVID-19.
Professor Juliane Winkelman on her side explained the engagement of the University in the health sector as well as on the MED TECH ONE WORLD student initiative which succeeded in producing face masks for COVID-19 prevention.
The delegation also got the chance to visit the overall mechanical and automotive works of the technical University. Furthermore, they witnessed the recent successful innovation of an electric car that benefits most of the agricultural sector in Africa. The same study is undergoing in Ethiopia which will hopefully be experimented at the end of 2022.
The face masks will soon be shipped off to Ethiopia.
